during the making of our film β€˜The last press,’ we saw a gap in the market for a premium cider brand. and, as luck would have it, in October 2020, at the height of lockdown, we were in the heart of ciderland, somerset.

dimpsey cider was born. using apples from otherwise forgotten-about orchards, we created the product and the brand from scratch, picking, pressing, working with designers on the label, building the site, the marketing and selling the product in shops and restaurants. as a passion project in the middle of lockdowns, it just had to be photographed on 35mm, giving a sepia, sunsoaked, warm and grainy feel to the brand.

the result? a hit product stocked and sold out in some of our favourite bars, restaurants and shops across the country.

once normality resumed, the brand was retired, but a few remnant bottles are rumoured to surface now and then on special occasions.
